New study finds moderate carb diet is healthy
New study finds moderate carb diet is healthy New study finds moderate carb diet is healthy We are constantly told that carbs are the enemies. We blame them for making us gain weight, giving us headaches, acne, etc., Heck, Iâm pretty sure we are blaming carbs for Game of Thrones ending next year. But at the same time we love them because letâs face it. Bread tastes so much better than a carrot. Well you will be happy to hear that a new study finds that if you have been trying to stick to a low carb diet, you should add a few pieces of bread to it.Diets where you either get less than 40% of your energy from carbs or more than 70% of your energy or calories from carbs was associated with the greatest risk of death. So if you fall in between that range you have a healthy diet, according to this study published on Thursday. They looked at 15,428 adults ages 45â"64 years in four different communities in the U.S. between 1987 and 1989.A moderate carb diet is the way to goIt was found that those annoying people who donât eat bread because they are on a low-carb diet and mostly stick to protein and fats from animals, have a higher risk of mortality. Yes, these diets are effective for losing weight fast but they can have long-term negative ramifications. Of course, this isnât saying that a high-carb diet is healthy either. The researchers estimated that people who had a moderate carb diet at age 50 had a life expectancy of around 83-years-old, while for high-carb eaters it was 82 and it was 79 for low-carb people.Other studies suggest that if you want to cut back on carbs, try replacing them with beans, nuts and seeds instead of just meats and cheeses. But also, treat yourself to a donut for breakfast once in a while!
